AMERICAN WHITEWORK QUILT, hand-stitched, each side three joined panels, featuring intricate quilted designs consisting of a center oval framed flower arrangement, surrounded by foliate and gastropod-type shell motifs, top with diagonal grid border, other three sides with scrolling plume leaf border and applied fringe, applied binding. First half/mid 19th century. 86" x 99" with fringe.
Very good overall condition except for light to heavy toning, some scattered stains and spotting, a few tears and holes, lower border with faint green ghosting stain, minimal losses to fringe.
