ANDREW PITMAN, POTTER, FREDERICK CO., SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA LAND INDENTURE, manuscript and print on paper, dated December 30, 1815, for the sale of five-acre lot No. 89 in the vicinity of the town of Stephensburg (now Stephens City) by Andrew Pitman and his wife Frances to Richard Wells for $100. 15 5/8" x 13". 
Catalogue Note: Andrew Pitman (1760-1838) and his family were potters in Stephensburg during the first half of the 19th century. He had purchased lot No. 89 originally from the estate of George Johnston. The occupation of Richard Wells (1779-1846) has not been discovered. 

Condition

Very good condition with typical fold creases showing a few tiny holes and short separations.
