STRASBURG, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA POLYCHROME-DECORATED EARTHENWARE / REDWARE CUSPIDOR / SPITTOON, lead-, copper-, and manganese-glazed over a slip wash, low form with rounded shoulder, cut-out ovoid-form drain hole, and pronounced squared foot. Attributed to the pottery of Jacob Eberly (1830-1908) and Daniel Letcher Eberly (1859-1919), Strasburg, VA. 1886-1903. 3" HOA, 6 7/8" DOA.
