ANTIQUE BACCARAT THREE-FLOWER FLAT BOUQUET LAMPWORK ART GLASS MAGNUM PAPERWEIGHT, cut-faceted with a circular top window and six side punty cuts, three flower bouquet featuring a deep ruby thousand-petal rose to the left, an upper type-II pansy with some blue trim to the lower petals, and an all-white 12-petal double-clematis to the right, all raised on two curling green stems which support a total of 13 green leaves and a single red rose bud just above the bloomed rose, rayed to the underside. The Compagnie des Verreries et Cristalleries de Baccarat. 1845-1855. 2" H, 3 1/2" DOA.

Catalogue Note: Dunlop states about flat bouquets: "Baccarat flat bouquets are fairly common but given the variety of flowers included most individual designs are rare or very rare, many are unique." This exact pattern is seen on a period Baccarat design sheet illustrated in Dunlop's Baccarat Paperweights, p 67, fig. 337. Note that the publication has superimposed actual examples of the drawn weight overtop of the drawn design.

Condition

Excellent condition overall with the edges of some cuts having a minute flake, base edge having a single minute flake; having some scattered light surface wear/scratching.
