ANTIQUE FOLMER & SCHWING TOP HANDLE 4X5 SPEED GRAPHIC CAMERA, black leather coated wooden hardware and gray-toned metal trim/components, stationary Graphic back accepting 4" x 5" film currently with a hinged-flap focusing panel, camera serial number 28146, with intact top leather strap handle, equipped with a Carl Zeiss Jena f:4.5 15cm lens in a shiny brass housing marked "E.B. Meyrowitz Agent U.S.A." with functioning aperture, fit into its original Folmer & Schwing marked briefcase-shaped black leather case with felt lining, having two sheet film backs as well. Camera produced 1912-1927. 12 1/2" x 4" x 9 1/2" outer case.
Case excellent with overall cosmetic wear but hinges/handles and walls all intact. Camera in excellent visual condition with less than average wear to body, mostly limited to light rubbing to metal surfaces and a couple very minor spots of oxidation/rust or mildew; some very light peeling of leather around body cutout for focusing knob; camera's mechanical parts each appear to operate smoothly except shutter curtain seems stuck, bellows seems to operate very smoothly with no apparent pinholes; lens and lensboard look excellent and standard rises/falls as it should; but camera has not been tested for functionality (see Catalogue Guarantee).
