ANTIQUE SAINT-LOUIS ROSE UPRIGHT BOUQUET AND TORSADE LAMPWORK ART GLASS PAPERWEIGHT, honeycomb cutting to the top of the dome, eight punty cuts to the side, upright bouquet featuring a central red rose flanked by a cobalt blue and white blossom, a peach and blue complex millefiori canes to the antithetical flanks, many green leaves protruding from the underside, all surrounded by a cobalt blue torsade with tightly wound opal filigree interior tube, polished pontil mark. Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint Louis. Circa 1850. 2 1/8" H, 3" D.
Excellent condition overall with some edges of the honeycomb cuts having some minute roughness, a single minute flake, and a single short scratch between cuts, side having a single near vertical scratch, underside having a cluster of minute sliver flakes.
