ANTIQUE / VINTAGE ART NOUVEAU AND OTHER METAL BELT / DRESS BUCKLES AND ACCESSORIES, LOT OF 15, each having metal frame, most buckles being two-part form, comprising a Coro set with black glass having floral embellishment and enameled frame consisting of a buckle and a dress clip, a set having turquoise enameling and applied floral motif with rhinestones of a buckle and four buttons, and eight buckles including a shield-form buckle with celluloid/plastic cameo, an Art Nouveau buckle with large celluloid iris, and a white enameled buckle with encased faux flowers. Coro set marked, remainder unmarked. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Buckle of turquoise enameled set 4 1/4" x 1 5/8" OA.
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, one or a few spots/areas of oxidation, some bending, flakes/losses to enameling, and/or possibly one or a few repairs; turquoise-enameled set with losses to rhinestones; buckle with goose chasing a figure having losses to image; buckle with celluloid iris having replaced latch piece on back.
