ANTIQUE / VINTAGE METAL-ACCENTED PLASTIC BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 16, each two-part form having plastic frames with applied or inlaid metal plaques / decoration, including two with similar metal plaques featuring a sitting cherub, three with similar floral metal bands, a large whorl form, and two round form with blue glass stones / rhinestones. Unmarked. Together with a large two-part metal buckle with celluloid top and metal center, and one part of metal buckle featuring matching sitting cherub as buckles named above. 18 pieces total. First half/mid 20th century. Large whorl form buckle 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" OA.
Most in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including one to some spots/areas of oxidation/corrosion on metal components, and/or slight bending to metal; elongated oval buckle with one back bar possibly replaced; round-form buckle with faceted glass stones / rhinestones having original attachment loops removed and replaced, center metal attachment probably a later addition; large celluloid-topped buckle with some cracks to celluloid; metal one-piece buckle with solder repairs to bar on back.
