ANTIQUE / VINTAGE PLASTIC AND OTHER MATERIAL BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 20, each two-part form, featuring various materials such as plastic, wood, and mother-of-pearl / shell, including a large tortoise shell-type layered concentric circle buckle, a small round buckle with plastic cameos, a buckle with fruit pits, and three large geometric plastic, possibly Bakelite, buckles with black and greyish-green colors. Unmarked. First half/mid 20th century. Large lozenge-form black and greyish-green buckle 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" OA.
Most in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including one to some spots/areas of oxidation/corrosion on metal components, slight bending to metal, and/or possibly one or a few minor repairs; larger bow-form black and greyish-green buckle lacking one loop attachment to back; buckle with applied mother-of-pearl / shell wings having break and glued repair to one wing.
