ANTIQUE / VINTAGE METAL AND PLASTIC BELT / DRESS BUCKLES AND DRESS CLIP, LOT OF 28, each having a silver-toned, gold-toned, or brass-toned plastic or metal frame, buckles each two-part form, comprising a silver-toned plastic set of a buckle and a dress clip, and the remainder are buckles including two presented on black belts/sashes. Gilt-metal buckle with applied flowers and leaves on a scrolled-designed ground marked for B. Blumenthal & Co. Inc. of New York City, NY, gold-toned triangle-form plastic buckle with flowers marked "GREENBAUM" to metal clasp, gold-toned plastic buckle with green rhinestones marked "JAPAN", most remaining unmarked. Late 19th/20th century. Silver-toned plastic buckle from set 4" x 2 5/8" OA.
Most in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including one or a few spots of oxidation, some bending, one or two losses to rhinestones, one or more rhinestones possibly reglued/reattached, and/or possibly one or a few repairs; metal buckle with two large amber-colored rhinestones having a loss to one flower petal and a loss to clasp loop, unable to latch the buckle together; marked Japan buckle lacking one attachment loop to back.
