ANTIQUE / VINTAGE WHITING & DAVIS MESH AND OTHER BEADED LADY'S PURSES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising three Whiting & Davis metal mesh purses with each having enameled design including one having period, possibly original, hand mirror to interior, an Art Deco micro-beaded purse made from various colored metal beads, and a small beaded purse with metal frame and chain. Mesh purses each with maker's mark for Whiting & Davis Co. of Plainville, MA. First half 20th century. Mesh purse with purple flower design 7 1/2" x 7" OA without strap, strap 6" H drop.

Mesh purses in very good overall condition with some wear, and other imperfections including one or a few losses to jump rings, losses/worn spots to enamel and metal finishes, and/or one or more tears to interior lining, purple flower example with a loss to one marcasite stone on frame, green and yellow example with discoloration to interior lining; beaded purses in fair to good condition with wear and other imperfections including losses to beads, losses to interior linings, and tears/holes, Art Deco micro-beaded purse lacking strap, having several holes, some spots of rusting on beads, small purse with metal frame broken at both hinges.
