ASSORTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL / VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising an octagonal-form platter featuring mulberry/purple transfer of "THE NARROW'S / FROM / FORT HAMILTON.", as printed to underside, depicting a small military installation with figures and sheep in foreground, and three with black transfer images consisting of a copper lustre creamer featuring cartouches of "CORNWALLIS" surrendering at Yorktown, reverse cartouche with a portrait of "LA FAYETTE" flanked by angels and handle having impressed "30" to lower terminal, a creamer with eagle molded spout featuring profile depicting Admiral Dewey to one side and reverse with "FLAGSHIP OLYMPIA", and a cup featuring temperance motif "FIRM AS AN OAK" pattern depicting a shield flanked by a man and woman with flags. Additional marks to underside include impressed Royal Coat of Arms (lion and unicorn) with "OPAQUE / GRANITE / CHINA / W.R. & Co." to shield.
