STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC WASTE BOWL, featuring the "LANDING / OF / GEN. LA FAYETTE / At Castle Garden / NEW YORK / 16th August 1824", printed in floral cartouche, depicting the arrival of the Marquis de Lafayette from France to New York Harbor to each side. Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 1814-1834. 3 1/4" H, 6 1/4" D rim.
