ASSORTED AMERICAN INK BOTTLES, LOT OF 13, various shapes and colors including a light green U.S. Treasury / W.A. Davis Co. spool-form ink, an aqua square pen rest bottle with paper label for "CONQUEROR / RED INK", a dome-top "MORGAN'S PATENT / 1867" fountain inkwell with factory-ground rim, two medium to light amber cone inks, and a paper labeled Volger's Red Stamp Ink bottle with original box and dried contents, each bottle with tooled plain or beaded collar mouths except Diamond Inks and black ink-stained offset neck example with plastic cap machine made. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3 1/8" HOA.
Excellent condition overall, most examples undamaged, some with light wear or some interior residue/light staining; two embossed Diamond Inks with light flaking and roughness along shoulders and lips. Morgan's Patent with roughness and light chipping along mouth at factory-ground upper edge, and with a large potstone to body having no radiation, all as made.
