ASSORTED AMERICAN INK / MUCILAGE BOTTLES, LOT OF 14, various shapes and colors (mostly aqua) including some cone shaped, eight- and nine-sided including a few embossed Bixby with patent dates, and a teal green cone-shaped bottle with fluted shoulders embossed with a "CPC" monogram representing the Cross Pen Co. of Providence, Rhode Island, each bottle with tooled plain or beaded collar mouths. Late 19th century. 4 1/4" HOA.
Very good condition overall, many with minor to moderate sickness and some with light, shallow bruising or flaking mostly at lips or heels; tallest Bixby with multiple burst bubbles to body, green CPC cone with extensive scratching and two areas of heavy post-production grinding/polishing to minimize some chipping at the mouth, and nine-sided/lobed Bixby cracked throughout.
From the private collection of John and Val Tull, York, PA.
