ASSORTED BRITISH CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF EIGHT, comprising two blue shell-edge cup plates including one having embossed border decoration, two pink lustre jugs including one with naval-themed poems and a creamer example featuring relief hunting dog images and a molded dog-head handle, one Gaudy Welsh creamer with Oyster pattern, and three pot lids including one featuring Sir Robert Peel and one having "St JAMES'S / HALE PLACE" with bases and one featuring a blond woman wearing a feathered hat. Marks to underside include an impressed crown encircled with "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", and one pot lid with printed "A.G. HACKNEY & Co Ltd. / ENGLISH / PORCELAIN / Staffordshire". James & Ralph Clews, Cobridge, England; and others. 19th to 20th century. 7 1/2" HOA.

Condition

Four undamaged, except some having expected usage wear and Peel pot lid having moderate crazing; naval jug with flake to interior rim; dog creamer with restoration to rim chip and some paint touch-ups to rim and spout; one pot lid base with radial hairline to underside; Gaudy Welsh creamer with hairline to base and restoration to spout and handle.
