ASSORTED COMPOSITION GIRL DOLLS, LOT OF FOUR, painted facial decorations, composition bodies with jointed shoulders and hips, light brown hair wigs, comprising two Historical series Effanbee examples, each marked "EFFANBEE / ANNE SHIRLEY" to the back, painted eyes, each with vintage clothing in a patriotic theme of various prints and undergarments, including a "Later Carolina Settlement 1685" example and a "Pioneer American Spirit 1720" example; and two unmarked examples, each stamped on shoe sole "SANDRA LEE", each with sleepy eyes and loose swivel heads, each with vintage clothing including a brown and a pink long rayon dresses. 20th century. 14" to 15" H.
Condition
Very good overall condition with expected wear and minor imperfections. Clothing in very good condition with some scattered imperfections.
Deaccessioned by the Wachovia Historical Society to benefit acquisitions and conservation funds.
