ASSORTED DECORATED COMPOSITE KEROSENE STAND LAMPS, LOT OF TWO, colorless fonts with frosted finish, comprising an example with an embossed circle and star, tapered-form stem with green ground and handpainted floral decoration; remaining example with a tapered-form frosted and cut font with floral pattern, tapered-form stem with pale pink ground, handpainted floral decoration, period collars with shoulder plate and connectors, cast-metal square-form foot. Each fitted with a period No. 2 slip burner, combination shade with colorless base and opaque white dome-form top including one example with hand-painted floral polychrome decoration. Various makers. Fourth quarter 19th century. 19 3/4" to 21" H to top of shades.
Excellent overall condition, lamps undamaged, decorations with expected minor wear, one base with some light surface rust. Burners undamaged, decorated shade top fitter with a small chip and base with a sliver rim loss, remaining shade rims with normal as-made mold roughness/minute flakes.
