ASSORTED POTTERY INKWELLS / DESK ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a Rockingham-glazed molded figural inkwell of a man's head with a quill hole through the forehead and his screaming mouth forming the ink well, seemingly stamped "JOSEPH / THOMPSON" to underside, an Albany slip-glazed stoneware funnel ink with 10-sided base, and a black glazed molded hexagonal sander. Various makers. Mid 19th century. 1 7/8" HOA.
Albany slip example undamaged with a trio of stilt marks at outer rim as-made, figural Rockingham example good having no chips but with moderate to heavy glaze exfoliation around sides, sander heavily chipped and with a hole to one corner along upper edge.
