BENNETT POTTERY, BALTIMORE, MARYLAND ROCKINGHAM-GLAZED POTTERY MUGS, mottled brown glaze, each featuring a molded portly Toby on each side with branch-form handles, comprising one shaving example with interior trough, stamped "E. & W. BENNETT, / CANTON-AVENUE / BALTIMORE, M.d" to underside, one example with figural polychrome frog to interior and relief "FRANK" to exterior, and one traditional-form example. Edwin Bennett / E. & W. Pottery, Baltimore, MD. Mid 19th century. 4 1/4" HOA, 4 1/8" D rim.
Condition
Two undamaged; frog example having restoration to rim chip and two rim hairlines. Manufacturing flaws including shaving and traditional examples having chip/flake to foot edge, as made.
