NEW JERSEY TOBY ROCKINGHAM-GLAZED PITCHERS, LOT OF TWO, each having brown splashed glaze, comprising one example with molded branch handle featuring a portly sitting figure holding a jug on one knee, stamped "A. CADMUS / CONGRESS POTTERY / SOUTH AMBOY / N.J." to underside, and one depicting a sitting gentleman wearing a tri-corner hat and holding a frothing pitcher on his knee, unmarked. Yellowware Toby possibly South Amboy, NJ. Third quarter 19th century. 4 1/4" and 8 5/8" HOA.
