BOHEMIAN FREE-BLOWN AND ENGRAVED GLASS POLKAL, colorless, trumpet-form base with engraved decoration depicting a covered object with two hearts above, and church and small village in the background, stating "Falsches Hertze falscher Sinn weiche von uns beiden hin", applied circular foot, topped with a matching domed cover with foliate engraving and an applied swirled finial. First half 19th century. 10 1/8" HOA, 3 1/2" D rim.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservations, and future acquisitions.
