BRITISH SPATTERWARE TEA AND TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF EIGHT, comprising two blue-sponged cups including one with parrot design and one having peafowl decoration, two plates having additional polychrome hand-painted designs, and four rainbow examples including an octagonal-form four color covered sugar with loop design, a brown- and orange-sponged cup, a purple- and blue-sponged bull's eye saucer, and blue- and orange-sponged saucer. Marks to underside include impressed "REAL / IRON STONE" and "W". Second quarter 19th century. 8 1/4" DOA.

Three undamaged including two bird cups and purple/blue-sponged saucer; panelled plate mostly undamaged except having three flakes to foot ring, most probably as made; remaining having some restoration including sugar having professional restoration to handles and cover finial and scattered wear to interior gallery.
