LEE JR CONTRIBUTION RECEIPT TOWARDS RICHMOND, VIRGINIA CONFEDERATE MONUMENT, printed on paper, from the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument Association of Richmond, Virginia, to Capt. Robert E., Lee Jr of Lexington, VA, for his $10 contribution to the fund to erect a Grand Monument on Libby's Hill, Marshall Park, Richmond, signed by J. Taylor Stratton, J. Hill Printing Co., Richmond. Housed under glass in gilt frame. Circa 1887. 5" x 8 1/2" sight, 13 1/2" x 15 1/2" OA.

Catalogue Note: This monument was erected in 1897 and was removed on July 8, 2020.

Condition

Fine condition with a couple minor stains, very light fold lines, 1/4" tear at top edge. Not examined out of frame.
