CHINESE CARVED JADE PEACOCK FIGURE, an ornate pierced carving depicting a bird-of-paradise perched atop a flowering shrub, with four smaller birds below, raised on a carved rosewood stand. Retains a printed label for the John Brandon Collection, Glasgow with additional ink inscription "China, 18th/19th Century, Very fine". Possibly 18th/19th century. 9 1/2" H, 8" WOA.
Provenance: Property of a Shenandoah Valley of Virginia lady.
Ex-collection of John Brandon, Glasgow.
