CHINESE EXPORT LACQUERED TEA BOX, hinged lid concealing a pewter box with engraved Chinese figures to the lid, outer box with bail handle to each end. 19th century. 8" H, 13 1/4" x 10 3/4".

Exterior with some cracking and small losses, key not working, lock dislodged from lid.
