CHINESE EXPORT HAND-PAINTED SILK CURTAIN, two-joined panels of sheer tan-colored silk, two sides with applied fringed, featuring hand-painted decoration with flower borders, each panel with near-mirrored image of a hanging basket holding fruit and corn, having tasseled ornament, surrounded by birds in flight, flowers tied by ribbons, and butterflies, top edge probably cut-down with later applied fabric to reverse. 19th century. 70" x 57" OA.
Very good visual condition with light toning, some scattered spotting and stains, some scattered holes mostly being small in size, painting with minor losses and wear.
