CHINESE KESI CIVIL RANK BADGE, silk, featuring a bird, probably a wild goose, to center looking up to the sun, surrounded by cloud-type motifs, waves at its feet, lower fourth with striped design, all encompassed by a foliate and key border. Housed under glass in a painted frame. 19th/early 20th century. 10 5/8" x 10 3/4" sight, 11 5/8" x 11 3/4" OA.
Condition
Very good visual condition with light toning, bird with one leg having tears, frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.
