CHINESE / JAPANESE TEXTILES AND OTHER ARTICLES, LOT OF NINE, comprising a Chinese bronze knife money piece, a set of six small glass ornaments with red-painted lettering, a painting on silk featuring two women in traditional dress, and a long straw mat panel with wool embroidery having painted detailing of a landscape, two red ribbons on the end with calligraphy featuring one dated "44'/6/28." at the bottom, having a fabric backing, top edge with applied strip for hanging. 20th century, or possibly earlier. Embroidered panel 76" x 16 3/4".

Condition

Fair to very good overall condition with wear and other imperfections; glass ornaments with paint flakes and chips, some gold-toned tip covers with losses, cracks, and/or chips; silk painting with several tears and some discoloration mostly along the edges where the panel was formerly nailed; mat with some tears and losses, painting with some fading and losses, fabric with light toning and spotting, some stains.
