CHINESE IMPERIAL GOLD LACQUERED SEAL CHEST, the hinged lid concealing an open interior lined with gold patterned silk, the exterior finely molded in relief with dragons and clouds, base with applied ornaments above pierced holes to receive mounting straps, original gilt-bronze hardware including a bail handle to each end. Small red wax seal applied to base on one end. Probably Qing Dynasty. 14 1/4" HOA, 15 3/4" x 10 3/4" OA.
