CIVIL WAR BIRCH OFFICER'S FIELD DESK, dovetailed construction, featuring a hinged lid opening to a slanted writing surface concealing two wells. Reportedly used at the Battle of Gettysburg. Lightly cleaned surface with warm color. Mid 19th century. 7 1/2" H, 33 1/8" W, 12" D.
