CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER, 31 caliber, six-shot cylinder with stagecoach scene, octagonal barrel with "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA." marking on top, small trigger guard, steel gripstraps, walnut grips, marked on the left side of the frame "COLTS / PATENT". Serial #238120 consistent on frame, trigger guard, and butt. With a modern shadowbox frame. Manufactured in 1863. 8 1/2" LOA, 4" barrel.

Later gold-plated surface, grips cleaned, most of scene strong on cylinder, with some typical pitting.
