CLASSIC / GILLINDER NO. 403 (OMN) CLEVELAND AND HENDRICKS PLATES, LOT OF TWO, colorless with frosted central intaglio design, well-detailed busts of Grover Cleveland and Thomas A. Hendricks in center. Hendricks example with embossed designer/manufacturer's signature "P. J. JACOBUS SCUL." Produced for the 1884 Presidential campaign. Gillinder & Sons, Philadelphia PA. Fourth quarter 19th century. 11 3/4" DOA.

Condition
Excellent condition overall, Cleveland example with moderate wear and light scratching to interior and a small chip to upper rightmost edge petal. Both with roughness along mold lines at outer rims and perhaps shallow flaking, almost all as-made.
