CONTINENTAL BLACK AMERICANA TERRACOTTA LARGE FIGURE,
standing barefoot on a molded ovoid base with a stack of wrapped packages to back, and polychrome hand-painted decorations, depicting a young man wearing ragged clothing and holding a large ovoid basket. Impressed "393 / 5" to underside.
Late 19th/early 20th century.
22 1/2" HOA.
Excellent visual condition having some professional restoration and some minor losses to enamel decorations.
