CONTINENTAL CERAMIC FIGURAL ANTHROPOMORPHIC ANIMAL HUMIDORS, LOT OF THREE, each in military dress and wearing a hat, comprising a walrus with a cigar and medal on his left chest and two dogs including one example holding a sword in left paw and a pug wearing white gloves with a sword in right hand. Marks to underside include "JM / 3607", "JM / 3619", "Austria", and pug having hand-brushed "2618". Johann Maresch (Austrian, 1821-1914), Austria; and other. Late 19th/early 20th century. 7 3/8" HOA.
Walrus undamaged, except most having some minute scattered wear to glazes; dog having minute flake to base on upper back, top back having area on edge possibly ground, and minute glaze flakes to nose; pug having loss of tassel on hat and sword blade possibly reglued at hilt guard.
