CONTINENTAL CERAMIC FIGURAL ASIAN HUMIDORS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one head example depicting a figure wearing a conical hat, three full-bodied examples including two standing examples wearing traditional robes and hats and one example featuring a balding man with his legs wrapped around a stump with an entwined snake emerging from top. Marks to underside include impressed "BB", "RB", G. & St.", various numerals, and snake example with incised Asian-style characters to interior cover and base. Bernhard Bloch, Eichwald, Bohemia; Gerbing & Stephan, Bodenbach, Austria; and others. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 11 1/8" HOA.

Condition

Standing example with sword mostly undamaged, having some minute/minor flakes to top underside edge and flange, and scattered glaze wear to top and bottom; standing example on circular base in excellent visual condition with professional restoration; snake example having a moderate glaze flake to base rim, figure with flake to shirttail, and some scattered glaze wear/loss; head example having some restoration to hat.
