CONTINENTAL FREE-BLOWN BLACK GLASS BLADDER / BOOT-FORM DEMIJOHN BOTTLE, dark olive-amber/black, wide oblong body with somewhat flattened sides, a so-called "boot bottle" or "bladder" form, having a slightly kicked-up base without pontil scar, wide neck with thick applied banded rim below the plainly finished slightly flared-out mouth. Possibly German or Belgian. Late 18th century. 18" H, 16 1/2" W.

Condition

Excellent condition with a small nick to upper edge of lip, moderate exterior wear and scuffing, and some thick interior dirt and residue.
