CUT-OVERLAY AND FIGURAL STEM PAIR OF KEROSENE STAND LAMPS, cranberry to colorless with gilt tracing, each having a pyriform font with engraved floral and berry vines, lower punty cuts, each raised on cast-metal figural stems depicting cherubs playing a trumpet while sitting in a seashell, single-step marble bases, period brass collars. Probably New England area. 1860-1880. 10 1/4" H, 4" SQ bases.

One undamaged with more wear to the gilt, expected light roughness to the edges of the marble; other having some flaking and roughness to the edges of the marble, sitting at a slight lean. Example sitting with a lean having an interior bubble to the font which has two burst pockets at the tips of the bubble, as made.
