CUT OVERLAY QUATREFOIL KEROSENE STAND LAMP, white cut to jade green pyriform font, starch blue Baroque base, brass connector, No. 2 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an E. F. Jones No. 2 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES PATENT. MAY 4, 1858/ REISSUE JANUARY 11, 1859" and with wing symbol, with a Merrill's air director, marked "R. S. MERRILL PATENT JUNE 14. 1859", brass 4 1/2" D stamped shade ring which is supported by an encircling ring around the collar, an engraved and frosted ball-form shade with four windows of stylized Vintage pattern. Non-period colorless lip chimney. Lamp: Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Second half 19th century. 20" H to top of shade, 13 1/4" H to top of collar, 5 5/8" SQ base. Shade 6 1/8" H, 4" D fitter.

Font with several manufacturing imperfections including a white casing loss adjacent to a quatrefoil cutting and several potstones including one which is broken, edge of foot with a shallow chip along with normal as-made roughness to edges. Burner undamaged, shade rim top with a small interior chip, chimney undamaged.
