ENGLISH AND OTHER SILVER-PLATED OPEN SALTS AND ARTICLES, LOT OF 17, comprising three open salts with blue opalescent glass liners, six open salts with cobalt blue glass liners, a pair of open salts with gilt-washed interiors and scrolled designs by R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. of Wallingford, CT, two open salts by Pairpoint Mfg. Co. of Bedford, MA, two salt spoons, and two mustard pots with cobalt glass liners. Most marked, many with "ENGLAND" marks, open salt with scrolling rosette design marked "GERMANY". Late 19th/20th century. Ovoid blue opal glass example 2" HOA, 3" x 2 1/4" OA rim.
Most in good to very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, denting, possible repair/s, possible re-plating, and/or worn spots/losses to silver; some glass liners with one or more flakes and nicks to rims, possible post-production polishing; octagonal blue opalescent glass liner with a chip to one rim corner having a corresponding sizable crack, frame with losses to the majority of silvering.
