ENGLISH FREE-BLOWN BLACK GLASS MALLET / UTILITY BOTTLE, medium grass-green, relatively straight-sided "mallet" form underblown at one side, with inwardly tapering narrow neck and applied bladed ring/collar below the slightly outward-flaring mouth, kicked-up base with faint disk or glass-tipped pontil scar. Circa 1740. 8 1/4" H, 5 1/4" D widest.

Very good condition with one 3/4" chip to collar and a 5/8" loss to mouth nearby, routine overall haze with smoothly worn surface patination with minimal degradation to the glass, and some rainbow/brown discoloration primarily on interior.
