ENGLISH NEOCLASSICAL-STYLE OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE / SILVER-PLATED CANDLESTICKS, TWO PAIRS, each having likely original bobeche insert, comprising an old Sheffield plate pair with gadrooned accents, and a later Adams-style silver-plated candlestick pair with fluting. Unmarked. Late 18th/19th century. 11 1/4" and 11 3/4" HOA.
Old Sheffield plate pair in good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, nicks, denting, and worn spots/losses to silver, one with repairs, the other with possible repair/s, slightly leaning; Adams-style pair in very good to excellent visual condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, some denting mostly being minute/small, one with a moderate dent to side of capital, possibly re-plated.
