ENGLISH STERLING AND CHINESE EXPORT SILVER TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three English sterling silver pieces consisting of a near pair of shakers / casters by S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd. of Birmingham featuring one with 1928 date marks and the other with two different date marks of 1924 on base and 1927 on cap, and a miniature pot-form dispenser by Stokes & Arthur of Birmingham with 1895 date marks topped by cap with hole to center that connects to a long tube that goes into the body; and a Chinese export silver open salt with repousse and chased decoration, raised on three cabriole legs with shell knees and feet. English pieces each with maker's mark and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, an anchor city mark, and a date mark; Chinese export piece impressed with three English-style pseudo hallmarks and of unknown silver fineness. Total weight: 10.910 ozt. Late 19th and first half 20th century. 1 1/2" to 5 1/2" HOA.
Mostly in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, slight bending, one or a few dents, and/or worn spots to raised decoration; shakers/casters each with minor to moderate bend at base causing it to lean; miniature pot dispenser with a repair to the center of one side.
