ENGLISH PEAFOWL CERAMIC TEA ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, each featuring a polychrome hand-painted long-tailed bird with sponged decoration, comprising a pearlware cup featuring Aye-style bird perched in a green- and yellow-sponged tree, and a four-piece children's set including a teapot, a covered sugar, a creamer, and a cup. First quarter 19th century. 4 1/8" HOA.

Condition

Creamer undamaged; Aye bird cup with rim hairline and some minor scattered enamel flakes to interior and exterior; sugar having minor flake to interior gallery and some restoration to edge of cover; child's cup with two hairlines to rim; teapot having some restoration to spout and cover. Manufacturing flaws including creamer with glazed over flake to end of spout, as made.
