ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF FOUR, each having polychrome decorations, comprising one standing lion with mouth agape, composition eyes, and gilt accents to mane, one example depicting Richard III seated in a tent with right hand raised, one featuring a figure on a square base, sitting cross-legged and wearing a turban, and one spill vase example depicting a young man and woman standing on either side of pitcher being filled with water. Second half 19th/early 20th century. 9 7/8" HOA.
Spill vase undamaged; lion mostly undamaged, except having some possible paint touch-ups; turban figure with loss of removable item in right hand, otherwise undamaged; Richard III having restoration to top of tent and base, some flaking.
