ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED LITERARY FIGURAL PAIR, comprising "SHAKSPERE [sic]" and "MILTON", each featuring the writers standing beside a pillar, an arm resting on a stack of red-painted books, and holding a piece of paper in the opposite hand. Mid 19th century. 10 3/4" HOA.
Condition
Each having moderate characteristic crazing; Shakespeare having a hairline extending from shoulder and across head, probably as made.
