EUROPEAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART CUT-AND-PASTED SILHOUETTE, hollow cut, with painted-on embellishments including hair, a collar, and an earring, the bottom of the composition reading "[indecipherable] C Larens / 1815", the silhouette cut-out itself signed by the artist "Fecit A(?) Frey". Housed in a period gilt molded frame. Early 19th century. 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" OA, 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" sight.
Very good condition overall with some minor scattered toning to artwork, frame with minor scattered surface wear. Currently loose in frame.
