FOLK ART RED-PAINTED HUMIDOR / SMOKING BOX, red-painted dovetailed box with applied decoration, iron handles to sides, and a copper-based sponge box on top, entire surface is decorated with applied hearts and stylistic elements, including a galloping horse to rear, and an applied brass ornament to the upper sponge box, the lid opens to reveal an open, green-painted interior with one removable till, the whole raised on two wooden runner-type feet. American. Late 19th century. 10" HOA, 16 1/2" WOA, 9 1/2" DOA.

Good condition with minor wear to paint and scattered minor wear and damage.
