FREE-BLOWN GLASS FOOTED COVERED SUGAR BOWL, deep blue with an applied opal rim, deep cylindrical bowl with a galleried rim, raised on a compressed stem and circular foot, matching cover, rough pontil mark. Probably English, possibly Pittsburgh area. First half 19th century. 6 1/2" HOA, 4 3/4" D rim, 3 5/8" D foot.
Provenance: From the Peter H. Tillou estate, Litchfield, CT.
Undamaged with some scattered wear.
