FREE-BLOWN SALVERS / CAKE STANDS, LOT OF THREE, colorless, each having a plate with a galleried rim, raised on an applied hollow hourglass-form stem with concave medial collar, and a domed foot and rough pontil mark. Pittsburgh, probably Bakewell, Pears & Co., Pittsburgh, PA. 1850-1875. 6 1/4" to 9 1/2" H, 8 7/8" to 14 3/8" D plates.
Largest example having a sizeable sliver chip to the underside of the foot; smallest having a bruise to the edge of the foot and around the pontil mark; medium having a moderate chip to the rim; each having minor or moderate surface wear/scratching to the plate; largest example having some residue to the surface of the plate.
